A bit of a background on myself

Work

I’ve been working as a professional portrait photographer and commercial videographer for over 6 years now. I have a strong background in landscape photography and short films, as well.

In that time, I’ve worked with a lot of amazing people. My coworkers and mentors have been great and clients are always memorable. I have a diverse background of work experiences that have complimented my professional growth.

Time and time again, I find myself returning to the same thing no matter what avenue of photography or filmmaking I pursue. It’s always people that I find myself drawn to. Either on camera or off-camera, I love interacting with other people and creating memorable relationships. When I work with someone, I want it to be a positive experience and a memorable day. If the experience is positive the pictures will reflect that and everyone walks away having a better day.

Married Life

I’m a photographer and filmmaker living in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, I realized that I wasn’t doing what I really wanted; so, I moved out West. There I met my wife and discovered an amazing community of people in Bellingham, WA and then/now I’m discovering an amazing community in Vancouver, Canada. British Columbia is an amazing place and an amazing backdrop for my work. I can’t wait to see where this life takes me.

I also do a bit of web design work. For example, I built my family’s website for their pawn shop in downtown Pagosa Springs, Co and, of course, this one.
