Portland: City of Roses

I’m in Portland, or PDX, as the hip people call it. I don’t know why they call it the city of roses, haven’t seen one yet. Maybe it’s too cold. Meanwhile, coffee, donuts, and beer are on the itinerary. Snapped a pic with my phone to try out my wordpress sync.

In hipster camo, they can’t even see me. Chameleon mode.

The next day (and keep in mind, I’m typing this all on my phone, so bear with me) we carried on our mission of sampling beers and coffee all over Portland. Yesterday, we hit up Stumptown Coffee and The Crystal Hotel Annex, which brews it’s own beer. Then a nice dinner with Paige’s g’rents.

Today, we’ve started with Case Study Coffee Roasters. They apparently have the most caffeinated coffee in Portland. Either way, it’s delicious. I rarely drink Americanos black. I find them too sour, but not today. This cup was velvety and think with a nice savory taste. Paige’s drip was fruity and vibrant and was unbelievably sweet.

I’m sure there will be more to share later today.
